Theater Production: Proof

The People’s Center Theater is showing a new production called “Proof.” This play, produced by The Phoenix Theater Project, is about an aging father with mental illness and the toll it takes on his two daughters who must care for him. Cheryl Champion, a LICSW for the People’s Center Health Services Behavioral Health Department, has been consulting with the director and actors about mental illness and aging and the effects on individuals in a family. There are plans to have audience discussion after each performance to be led by Cheryl Champion and/or other mental health professionals.
